It’s no coincidence that we are the best at what we do
Since 1984, Jernforsen has been developing world-class biofuel plants, with over 1,000 satisfied customers around the globe.
We take pride in being a leading player in the technical development, manufacturing, and support of modern bioenergy systems. With passion, precision, and decades of experience, we create customized solutions that meet the energy demands of today – and tomorrow.
Tailor-made solutions– every time
Each plant is designed and optimized in close collaboration with the customer – based on:
- Fuel quality (e.g. moisture content, particle size)
- Operational data and energy requirements
- Local conditions and site-specific demands
- Potential for future expansion
Thanks to our extensive experience and flexible working methods, we deliver solutions with maximum reliability and efficiency.
Biofuels– a sustainable solution
We build plants ranging from 2 to 35 MW, powered by renewable biomass such as:
- Wood chips
- Bark
- Pellets
- Sawdust
- Forest residues (GROT)
With moisture contents up to 60%
This makes our systems ideal for both industrial energy production and district heating with minimal environmental impact.
We also build waste-to-energy plants for fuels such as:: RT- chips, SDF, RDF, MBM = (Meat and Bone Meal)
In-house control& automation
With our dedicated automation and control department, we ensure:

Why choose bioenergy?
Biofuels are considered a carbon neutral fuel. The carbon dioxide produced during combustion is absorbed and sequestered by new plants in the cycle, instead of contributing to the greenhouse effect.
Biofuels are:
-
Eco-friendly – Natural and additive-free, with ash that can be returned to the soil
-
Circular – Part of a closed natural loop
-
CO₂-neutral – Carbon released during combustion is absorbed by new vegetation
-
Locally available – The raw material is already in our surroundings
-
Economically sustainable – Stable supply and pricing compared to fossil fuels
