Flexibility for fuel choice
Jernforsen's boilers have been developed and tested for a variety of biofuels, and our fuel technology always guarantees optimal utilization of the fuel in question. We have also tested a large number of more exotic fuels and are constantly testing new types of fuel.
Chips
There are a variety of different types of wood chips and different humidity that can be burned in Jernforsen’s boiler plants.
Grotto
Debris can be bark, branches and tree tops that cannot be used for anything. Jernforsen’s boilers ensure better use of our resources and less waste.
Pellets
The wood pellet system requires minimal maintenance and wood pellets are a readily available fuel.
RT chips
RT chips are recycled wood fuel, such as old packaging and demolition wood that has been crushed or chipped.
RDF
RDF is made from household waste, which includes biodegradable materials and plastics. Non-combustible materials such as glass and metals are removed and the residual material is then shredded.
SRF
Solid recycled fuel is produced from mainly commercial waste including paper, card, wood, textiles and plastics. Solid recycled fuel has undergone further processing to improve its quality and value. It has a higher calorific value than RDF.
